MA Clinical Psych
Lauren Otto is a Psychologist from South Africa, who completed her Master’s training in Australia. She enjoys working with a diverse group of clients with a wide range of life challenges. She has spent time working in a variety of settings including a school, a hospital, and a community psychology clinic during her time in Australia. These experiences have allowed her to work in multidisciplinary teams, with clients of all ages, and a wide range of concerns.
Lauren has a warm, non-judgemental yet practical approach to therapy. She believes that having her client’s true understanding and “buy in” with regard to where their therapy is going is key in not only fostering a positive relationship with her clients but allowing them to achieve their goals.
With regard to adult therapy, Lauren’s main areas of interest include emotion regulation and adjustment difficulties, as well as living with chronic pain. Lauren also has experience working with clients who have experienced trauma and an understanding of the knock-on effects this can cause for their mental health.
